Privacy Policy

I’m a photographer, not a data company. I am not after your information and I do not do anything with it except reply to you.

What follows is honest about the handful of ordinary tools that run this site, because a few of them do touch something. The form that delivers your message passes through a service called Formspree on the way to my inbox. Google Analytics tells me how many people visited. The videos on a few case study pages are hosted on YouTube. None of that is me doing anything with your information. It is just what the site is built out of, and you should know who is involved.

I’m Jackson Tyler Eddy, a commercial event photographer based in Minneapolis. If anything below is unclear, or you want me to delete something, email me at jackson@jacksontylereddy.com and I will answer you myself.

What I collect

If you use the contact form, I receive what you type into it: your name, your email address, and optionally an event date, a city and a description of what you are planning. Nothing else in that form is required and nothing is pre-filled from anywhere.

If you email or call me directly, I have whatever you send me.

Separately, visiting the site produces the ordinary technical information any website receives: an IP address, a browser type, which pages were viewed and for how long. This is described below under Analytics.

What I do not do

I do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, and I never will. I do not build a profile of you, and I do not use your information for anything other than replying to you and doing the work you contact me about.

Right now there is no mailing list, no advertising on this site, no account to create, no comment section, and no advertising or social media tracking pixels. If that changes, this page will say so before it starts, and you will be able to leave any list in one click.

Who else receives it

Three third parties are involved in running this site. Each is named here because each receives something.

Formspree delivers the contact form. When you press Send, your message passes through Formspree’s servers on its way to my inbox. Their privacy policy is at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

Google Analytics tells me how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets cookies and receives your IP address. I use it to understand whether the site is working, not to identify individuals. Google’s policy is at policies.google.com/privacy, and you can opt out entirely with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

The two typefaces used across the site are served from this site’s own server. They used to load from Google Fonts, which sent your IP address to Google every time a page opened. That was changed in September 2026 and nothing about the typefaces reaches Google now.

YouTube hosts the videos embedded on a few case study pages. Those embeds use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube does not store information about you unless you actually play a video. The player only loads if you scroll down to it.

My web host, SiteGround, keeps standard server logs as part of operating the site.

Cookies and Do Not Track

The cookies on this site come from Google Analytics. The embedded videos set nothing unless you play one, as described above. The site itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work.

Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. There is no agreed standard for how sites should respond to it, and this site does not currently change its behavior when it receives one. The Google Analytics opt-out linked above works regardless.

Third parties named above may collect information about your browsing across other websites over time. I have no control over and no access to what they collect elsewhere.

How long I keep it

Inquiries stay in my email so I can find them later, the same way any working correspondence does. Analytics data is retained on Google’s schedule. If you would rather I did not keep your inquiry, say so and I will delete it.

Your rights

You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask for a copy, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email jackson@jacksontylereddy.com and I will handle it myself. There is no form and no process; I will just do it.

If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, those laws give you these rights explicitly, including the right to know what is collected and the right to have it deleted. I extend the same rights to everyone regardless of where they live. I do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.

Photographs

The photographs on this site are my own work, published as portfolio and editorial samples of commissioned assignments. If you appear in one and would like to talk about it, email me and I will listen. Licensing inquiries about a specific image are handled at /licensing/.

Children

This site is aimed at people hiring a photographer. It is not directed at children and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page and the date at the top will change. There is no mailing list to notify, so that date is the record.
